Where We Go

Vermont Wilderness Rites honors and respects the land of the Abenaki people, N'dakinna, which includes Vermont.  We give gratitude for the ancestors of this beautiful, verdant land and those who continue to steward their traditional homelands. For more information about the Abenaki Nation, please visit the Nulhegan Abenaki Tribe website.

Green River Reservoir

Green River Reservoir

Green River Reservoir is a hidden jewel in Northern Vermont. Loons, the ability to have fires at solo sites, camping at the water's edge, and the beauty of this very special place are the reasons Green River was selected as the location for the solo days. While other people will likely be within view at times, our personal experience is that Green River Reservoir is a powerful and beautiful place to deepen personal understanding and connection with the Earth.
